Who We Are

  • Eric B. Brown grew up in a small town in rural New Mexico. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology. He then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend law school at the University of Tulsa College of Law.

He has a wife and four children. When he is not battling at work to protect the rights and dignities of his clients, he enjoys being at home with them. His hobbies and interests include raising backyard chickens, gardening and doing home improvement projects.

Eric has a robust Social Security Disability practice where he has represented clients in close to one hundred Social Security hearings since he began practicing Social Security law. He has helped Social Security claimants get benefits who have both physical and mental disabilities. He enjoys this practice because it allows him to help those whose circumstances have rendered them unable to work. He is an advocate for those who have spent their whole working lives paying into an insurance system (our Social Security Disability system) that has now denied them the benefit of that insurance at the time of their greatest need.

  • Heather McGuinness graduated from Lincoln Way Central High school in 2005 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Wisconsin majoring in Criminal Justice before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma. While at the University of Wisconsin, she played college Rugby, was a member of Amnesty International and the Parside Activity Board. She volunteered with the Sturtevant Village Police Department to ensure those selling alcohol to minors obtained the proper age identification and also volunteered at the Hope Council Wet Shelter.

Heather joined the firm in 2011 and provides support to attorneys Eric Brown and Logan Jones. She enjoys all case types, especially personal injury, product liability and defective drug litigation. She recently passed the examination required by the Social Security Administration to represent claimants at all levels of the Social Security Disability Hearing process.

She is an active member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. and National Association of Disability Representatives. She enjoys spending time with her family, working on home renovation projects and baking.
